Quoc co-founded Tran Capital Management in 2017 upon leading a management buyout of Lateef Investment Management, which he joined in 2005. Quoc has over 20 years of investment management experience. Prior to TCM, Quoc worked at Wallace R. Weitz & Co. and held various positions in portfolio management and research. Prior to that, he spent five years at Goldman Sachs and Co. and left the company as Vice President and Director in the Equities Division. Quoc serves on the Investment Committee Board of the Marin Community Foundation. Quoc received a B.A. with high honors in rhetoric from Bates College and his MBA in finance and competitive strategy at the University of Chicago where he was also a Business Fellow.
Michael joined Tran Capital Management in 2013 and became a Partner of the firm in 2020. Prior to TCM, Michael was an Analyst at Kiitos Capital Management and an Equity Research Associate at Dodge & Cox. Michael received a B.S. with high honors in business administration from the University of California, Berkeley (Phi Beta Kappa) and an MBA with honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Michael is a CFA Charterholder and holds the CFA Institute’s Certificate in ESG Investing.
Winston joined Tran Capital Management in 2017. Prior to TCM, Winston was an Associate at Crescent Capital Group and an Analyst at UBS Investment Bank. Winston received a B.A. in business economics from the University of California, Los Angeles and an MBA from Columbia Business School where he graduated from the Value Investing Program.

Prior to TCM, he was the Co-Founder & Chief Administrative Officer of Tensile Capital Management. In prior years Eric held senior management positions in the industry with Crosslink Capital, Fuller & Thaler Asset Management, Fidelity Investments, and Putnam Investments. He received a B.S. in business administration with a concentration in finance from the University of Maine. Eric serves on the Advisory Board of the University of Maine Business School.
Kirstin joined Tran Capital Management in 2022. Prior to TCM, Kirstin was a Senior Accountant at Cable One (NYSE: CABO) and Carlisle Fluid Technologies (NYSE: CSL) and a Controller at Southwest Spine & Sports. Kirstin received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Washington and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Ken joined Tran Capital Management in 2019. Ken was previously a client service and Portfolio Administration Associate at Underhill Management and a trader at CSI Capital Management in addition to working as a CPA. Ken received a bachelor’s in business administration from the University of California, Berkeley. Ken is a US Army veteran, proudly serving our country in Vietnam, and volunteering to support veterans during his free time.
Lucille joined Tran Capital Management in 2019. Prior to joining TCM, Lucille worked at Underhill Management, which was acquired by TCM. Lucille received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from San Jose State University.
